Immersive media such as Virtual Reality, 360 Video, and Augmented Reality are radically changing all aspects of entertainment. This two-week workshop will expose students to some of these exciting technologies and concepts, while offering a chance to plan, shoot, edit, and publish 360 content using industry-standard hardware and software.
Students will be introduced to the emerging world of Virtual and Augmented Reality along with technologies such as 360 video and spatial audio recording & mixing. Hands-on experience managing workflows for creating and publishing 360 content will be part of the daily routine as students learn why VR/360 matters to creatives looking to stay ahead of the curve, and techniques for creating dynamic, story-based, 360 content.
Students will complete an original, collaboratively produced, 360 short to be screened as a “work in progress” on the last day of the camp/workshop.
