The Musical will be the center point of three weeks of training and rehearsal at the Musical Theater Conservatory this summer! Director Nick DeGruccio, Musical Director Stephen Amundson, and Choreographer Tom Pardoe will be joined by other faculty to teach, coach and rehearse the showcase which will be presented as a work in progress on the final day.

The Musical Theater Conservatory offers training in the musical theater forms that are prevalent today both on Broadway and in National Tours. And added feature will be developing musical theater performance for the camera. Although its foundation is based on some of the classics of the musical theater, the conservatory develops the student’s acting and musical performance and movement techniques in such areas as rock and roll, gospel, operatic and jukebox musicals. It is a conservatory that reflects the need for musical performance of this century in training the actor who can sing and the singer who can act. Approached with the same discipline and training that is expected of the working professional the Conservatory nurtures the young artisttowards their potential and then encourages them to go further to new heights. It not only trains the voice, the body, and the soul but also the intellect in terms of what musical theater performance is all about. Comprised of working faculty in the musical theater, the Conservatory will give each of its participants the training of a lifetime working “theater-style” in a working Hollywood studio. The Conservatory offers the students master classes with exciting guest artists who are equally at home on the Broadway stage and the Big and Small Screens!

This intensive three week program culminates in a showcase.  This is an experience not to be missed!
