Ever watch a light show and wonder how they integrated it with your favorite song? Are you wowed at a concert by the incredible lighting display? Have you sat in the theater and been pulled into the drama through the emotion evoked by the lighting design? Do you enjoy production? Then this is the workshop for you. The week will cover 100 uses of light, lighting and music, light and the 3-dimensional for, technical aspects of lighting, and tracking circuits. It will culminate in lighting demonstrations and a collaborative project.
* Additional Camp/Workshop InformationStudents check-in between 1 - 2:30pm on the first day of camp. Flights should arrive into Lambert-St. Louis (STL) on the First Day of camp between 10am and 12:30pm. Flights should depart from Lambert-St. Louis (STL) on the last day of camp after 6pm. Transportation is available to and from Lambert-St. Louis (STL) for $30 each way. |

John Wylie is the Head of the Production programs at Webster University where he teaches Technical Direction and Lighting.
Locally, John has designed for The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Opera Theater of St. Louis, the Missouri Rep, Metro Theatre Company, the St. Louis Black Rep and Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. In 2009 alone, John designed lighting for The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' productions of Souvenir and Evie's Waltz; Merry Wives of Windsor for Shakespeare Festival St. Louis; To Kill A Mockingbird for Metro Theatre Company and Barnum for the St. Michael's Playhouse.
