Details

Whether you're auditioning for roles on stage, in film or on television, the casting process can be mysterious and extremely overwhelming. From knowing what to prepare, what to wear, how to type yourself and how to make a lasting impression. During this week-long intensive program, students will see the audition process through a casting director's eye. Activities to include attending Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, meeting the very Broadway and television casting directors that make casting decisions, and learning why and how these decisions are made. Daily classes to include audition techniques, an overview of headshots and resumes, monologue and repertoire selection, and marketing yourself as a viable, for-hire product. Headshots will be taken and students will have the opportunity to purchase them from the photographer. Students will conclude the week participating in a professional mock-audition with feedback.

A letter of recommendation from a teacher is required prior to the beginning of camp. Enrollment for this program is limited.
