Summer Theater Camps and Acting Camps

Printer Friendly Page

Whether the medium is musical theater, the dramatic stage, or the screen, to be truthful is the imperative element for the successful actor. Daily workshops in our theater and acting camps will explore performance techniques in comedy, voice and diction, improvisation, physical humor, line interpretation, rhythm and timing, movement, and stage combat. Students will also work on other essential components of acting such as character development and interpretation, scene study, the basics of Shakespeare, and monologue preparation. Our Acting for the Camera students will learn the similarities and differences between stage and film acting. Using scenes from current film and television scripts, students will work "on camera" every day. Our Theater, Acting, and Acting for the Camera camps are all taught by outstanding professionals.
