Musical Theater Details

US Performing Arts invites you to visit the Great White Way as you join Broadway artists and directors, and other enthusiastic musical theater students in a 6-day intensive training academy. This premiere Musical Theater camp offers daily workshops in the three essential components of musical theater - acting, singing, and dancing. Students will be taught by working Broadway professionals who have been in the Broadway or National companies of shows such as: West Side Story, The Producer, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Big River, Meet Me In St. Louis, Cats, Pippin, Anything Goes, Shrek, and Ghost.

Curriculum includes ensemble work, scene study, vocal instruction, audition techniques, and dance workshops for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Guest speakers from Broadway shows join the students for "working" Question and Answer sessions during the week. In addition, special workshops geared towards helping students audition for colleges and universities will be conducted throughout the week.

Tuition includes a ticket to a Broadway performance. This is a fantastic program to coincide with a family vacation and leaves most evenings free to spend together in the Big Apple. Parents are invited to attend the orientation on the first day, any schedule changes will be given out at this time.
