Christopher Salazar has been working in film and video production for
over 23 years. He started his own photographic consulting firm in
1993, and gained such high profile clients as Sony high definition
facilities, IMAX North America and visual effects powerhouse
DreamQuest Images. As a consultant, Mr. Salazar worked on projects
ranging from major motion pictures, including "Falling Down,"
"Toys," and "Crimson Tide," to special venue projects such as the
70mm IMAX ride film "Batman Returns: The Adventure." In 1998
Mr. Salazar signed a three picture deal with Miramax to provide
photographic and script consultations and by 2003 Mr. Salazar began
his relationship with US Performing Arts Camps. As a passionate and
energetic motivator, Mr. Salazar has a remarkable ability to work with
youth from all over the world and guide them into becoming a
successful filmmaking crew. As a filmmaker, he works primarily in the
areas of education, documentary, and narrative projects.
Oscar Beckmann is a Director of Photography and Film Director based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His resume includes work ranging from big scale productions to independent films. Having worked on productions like The Lone Ranger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Jurassic World, Oscar has established himself as a strong, sought after, and successful presence in the film community. As a cinematographer Oscar has shot all over world. His last project took him through the jungles of Vietnam and remote places of Australia. He is currently in the editing process of two "blockbuster" feature films that his production company is producing and directing.

Process: Then our 2-Week Advanced Digital Film Camp is for YOU!
Our outstanding faculty, led by Writer/Director/DP Christopher Salazar, as well as
Hollywood Film Industry Guest Speakers, will cover a multitude of subjects and
cutting edge techniques while sharing their knowledge and professional
experiences with all of our students. The 2-Week Advanced Digital Film Camp
Advanced Writing Techniques: Students will be shown how to develop their
ideas into feature-length screenplays through a development process that is
designed to help identify pitfalls and remove any weaknesses in their story -
before they begin writing their script.
Full 4K Format: Students will be working in full 4k, from imaging to editing, on a
special in-class instructional project.
Lighting Tools & Techniques: The differences in Lighting for: A Studio, Stylistic
or Available Light scene. As well as an in depth study of Recreating Master
Grip & Electric - Tools & Techniques: From Camera Sliders to Aerial Drones
and HIVE Plasma Lighting, our Grip & Electric class is the most exciting and
informative class ever to be offered at any Summer Camp!
Post Production: The vast array of choices and techniques for today's
Filmmakers when utilizing Final Cut Pro X, for Color Correction and Special
Effects, as well as the importance of capturing pristine Dialogue, Music and
Sound Effects for their Final Films.
New Skills: This Program is designed to push the already knowledgeable,
advanced students in developing their technical skills, artistic vision and personal
voice as Filmmakers. By the end of our 2-Week Advanced Digital Film Camp,
students will have created sophisticated, high caliber films that can be submitted
in their various college application processes.
Many of our students have continued their education at some of the best film
schools in America, including: USC, New York University, Chapman University,
Loyola-Marymount, UCLA and Cal Arts to name a few. Most importantly, our 2-
Week Advanced Digital Film Camp will be overflowing with exciting artistic
discoveries, the mastery of new cutting edge techniques, as well as the
opportunity to meet new friends, collaborate, network and have loads of fun in
the Southern California surf and sun.
All of our Advanced Students Films will be screened on the last day of the
