Andre received his B.S. degree from Virginia Tech University in Management and earned an MFA-Acting from California State University-Long Beach.
He has appeared in the Broadway productions of Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Xmas, The Music Man, Marie Christine, and Grease. His Off-Broadway credits include From My Hometown and Little Ham, which earned him two Audelco Award nominations for Outstanding Actor.
Andre has traveled the country in several national tours including: The Color Purple, Dreamgirls, Joseph...Dreamcoat, and Miss Saigon, as well as internationally with A Chorus Line. He as worked in many of the most reputable regional theaters in the country such as Goodspeed Opera House (Abyssinia), The Ford's Theatre (Children of Eden), GEVA Theatre (The Music Man), Pioneer Theatre (Five Guys Named Moe).
He has appeared in the NY City Center Encores! concert presentations of Cabin In The Sky, Lost In The Stars, and Broadway Bash 2003. He is featured in the Actor's Fund performance of Dreamgirls and adds multiple cast album recordings to his list of credits.
Andre has taught as an adjunct faculty member at Cal-State-Long Beach and Relativity School. Andre is currently an adjunct faculty member of Baruch College.
Andre is a member of Actor's Equity and SAG-AFTRA.
Head of Voice for the BFA in Musical Theatre at Penn State University, and Program Head of the new MFA in Voice Pedagogy for Musical Theatre. Mary also maintains a professional voice studio in NYC. In the current Broadway season, her students can be seen in Kinky Boots, Mamma Mia, Wicked, Book of Mormon, Newsies and Beautiful. Mary is frequently invited to present her workshop Bel Canto/Can Belto in the U.S and Europe. Her DVD tutorial Bel Canto/Can Belto: Teaching Women to Sing Musical Theatre was released in 2007. A second installment, "What about the Boys?" is scheduled for release in 2014. Mary is a member of the American Academy of Teachers of Singing. (AATS)
Donnie Tuel Faculty(Acting)
Donnie Tuel is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and recently earned his MA in New York University's Educational Theatre program. As a teacher, Donnie currently holds residencies at the renowned Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Professional Performing Arts School and Renaissance High School for Musical Theatre. A proud member of Actor's Equity Association, Donnie has worked professionally as an actor, director, choreographer, stage manager, and casting director in and out of New York City for the last 10 years.
You're beginning your senior year in high school. In our College Audition Workshop, rising juniors and seniors will gain the knowledge and tools to deliver a confident and fully prepared college audition. Through lectures, master classes with guest speakers from various institutions, and in-depth work on individual songs and monologues, students will hone their own audition while gaining the confidence and knowledge to navigate the often confusing and daunting journey into selecting the right program for themselves.
