Stunt Fighting Camp/Workshop Details

Program Director: Ed Monaghan

Stunt Fighting offers an experiential workshop where actors, stunt persons and those interested in becoming action performers are exposed to a repertoire of skills necessary for creating effective combat choreography for theatre, film and television. The emphasis in this workshop is to teach a wide variety of physical skills that can be used to development a story and to learn blocking as related to camera and audience placement. You will learn striking techniques from a variety of martial arts systems, rolls, basic break falls, locks, restraints, and weapons disarms for stage and film. Other components of the class include defining the requirements for talent preproduction training as related to physically challenging rolls, both skill based (martial arts, weapons, etc.) and conditioning. Be ready to work! Please inform us of any limitations which may inhibit the participant's ability to perform physical activity.
