Screenwriting Camp/Workshop Details

Workshop Head: Charles Pogue

Once it was the great American novel burning to be written. Now it's the lure of the screen that sends us to the keyboard. The truth is, we all have a story to tell and learning to tell it visually is a craft. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to work daily with an award winning screenwriter. Students will write short scripts and may bring to class any short scripts already written which will be analyzed and discussed. We will also verbally pitch stories, where students can learn to concisely, logically convey their script ideas. Elements of screenwriting and its legacy will be examined in short film clips and, through clips, we will also explore how a screenplay evolves from page to stage, for better or worse.
