US Performing Arts announced today that they have partnered with three of Disney’s leading casting directors to present a Voice Acting Workshop June 30-July 5 for high school students in grades 9-12. David Wright who will head up the workshop is responsible for creative casting and production recording for Disney’s animated television properties. He will be joined by Sara Goldberg who has been casting Disney cartoons for over 7 years and is responsible for such productions as PHINEAS AND FERB, and Aaron Drown who with more than a decade of experience has garnered two Emmy nominations for outstanding casting in feature and animated films. In addition to the three faculty the class will be visited by professional voice actors.
"This is an exciting partnership where students will benefit from the hands-on teaching of proven professionals while improving their skills and building their own resume." said President and CEO, Judith Patterson.
Students will reside on UCLA’s campus during the workshop and will take a field trip to Disney Studios where they will have class in one of the professional sound booths.
